CLU to mark Dia de los Muertos
California Lutheran University will celebrate Dia de los Muertos on Nov. 1 in the Student Union Building.
Starting at 10 a.m., a traditional altar will be built as part of the Latino celebration of All Saints Day.
Everyone is welcome to visit and place items on the altar in honor of deceased loved ones.
Samples of traditional pan de muerto (sweet bread) and pictures and information about the holiday's history will also be available.
CLU's Multicultural Programs and the Latin American Student Organization are sponsoring the free event.
The campus is at 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks.
