Join us for an hour or so of fun, relaxation and light exercise playing SHUFFLEBOARD, A GAME OF SKILL AND FINESSE. All equipment is furnished. All you need is a pair of soft-sole shoes. You need not stand to play. You can sit down on the bench.

Our park has one of the best Shuffleboard courts in the County. We need more players. Shufflboard is a really fun game, requires little physical effort and the rules are simple. We meet every Tuesday at 9:00 A.M. Turn off the TV and join us for an hour of fun, or just drop by and observe for a while. You will be glad you did. That's Tuesday at 9:00 A.M. Shuffleboard is a stimulating and challenging activity that both men and women of all ages can learn to play and compete with equal success. It provides the most fun at any price, yet the total cost to participate is far less than most sports.

However, like most games, the fascination and enjoyment increases tremendously as one learns the fine points of play. It is fortunate that it is not necessary to have begun at an early age to become really proficient at shuffleboard.

Even those who have never taken part in any other sport can in relatively short time with capable instruction and systematic practice, learn to complete favorable in most games. Most players continue to improve their mechanical skill and strategy as long as they play the game.

Many people that cannot take part in other sports because of age or certain physical handicaps are getting tremendous pleasures from shuffleboard. While not requiring the physical strength of agility of some sports, this mild form of exercise has no equal from the standpoint of the strategy and finesse that can be employed. The fellowship enjoyed through becoming an active participant with new made friends could be your greatest gain of all. Com on out to paly!

Each Friday, the Ventura County Shuffleboard Association, District #10 has "Fun Day". The District is comprised of three clubs, Lemonwood, Ventura Marina and Ojai Villa. Each location serves as a host once every three weeks.

Tournaments are held three times a year. This is a time to compete for beautiful trophies. An annual catered Christmas luncheon is held in the middle of December for all players.
