Rodeo Realty agents sponsor 3rd Annual Backpack Giveaway

Local Realtors Laurie Allen and Eileen Richardson from Rodeo Realty’s Simi Valley office have donated 16 backpacks filled with school supplies to the students of Sycamore Elementary School.
Allen and Richardson purchased the backpacks and have been collecting school supplies for the past year. “Anytime we would find supplies at a really good price we’d grab them and I think we did pretty well” Richardson said.
“We think it is important that children are given the right tools to learn,” Allen added. “A child’s independence and their future as a productive adult start in elementary school with the education process. School supplies are expensive and we hope we can make it a bit easier for at least a few families.”
The backpacks contain a notebook, a folder, notebook paper, a pencil box, pencils, a black, red and blue pen, book covers, glue sticks, school glue, crayons, colored pencils, safety scissors, a ruler and a pencil sharpener.
“Our commitment to the students of Simi Valley is ongoing,” Allen said. “The last two years donation of backpacks and supplies went to Berylwood Elementary. This year Berylwood School received all the backpacks they needed, so we gave to Sycamore Elementary instead. We feel that giving back to our community is extremely important.”
Donations of items for Sycamore Elementary School can be dropped off at Rodeo Realty’s Simi Valley branch located at 65 Tierra Rejada Road, or directly to the school located at 2100 Ravenna Street.
