GIRLS' VOLLEYBALL

Thousand Oaks takes second

At Royal Invitational, Saturday

Highlights: Thousand Oaks — Thousand Oaks lost to Dos Pueblos, 25-9, 25-21, in the championship match of the Gold Division. The Lancers beat Flintridge Sacred Heart, 25-20, 25-19, in the semifinals and La Cañada, 25-12, 25-17, in the quarterfinals. Maile Hetherton and Hannah Clancey were named to the all-tournament team. Royal — Royal lost in the quarterfinals to Dos Pueblos, 25-10, 25-16. The Highlanders defeated Chaminade in the first round. Una Siljegovic was named to the all-tournament team. Oxnard — Tessa Treeder made the Silver Division all-tournament team. Oxnard lost to Oxnard in the championship match. Agoura — The Chargers defeated Rio Mesa and Paso Robles before losing to Hart in the Silver Division semifinals. Sam Heuman was named to the all-tournament team.

GIRLS' CROSS COUNTRY

Moorpark places second

At Staub-Barnes Invitational, Saturday, 3 miles

Highlights: Moorpark — With five runners in the top 20, Moorpark was runner-up to Saugus, 22-64, in the fifth race. Madelyn Stoltze was eighth with a time of 20 minutes, 16 seconds. Heather Wicks (20:45), Taylor Davis (20:53) and Torrie Marshick (20:54) finished 12th through 14th. Newbury Park — Amanda Okun was 17th in 20:11 as the Panthers placed sixth in their race. Camarillo — Cassie Brooker was fifth in 19:20 to lead Camarillo to eighth.

BOYS' CROSS COUNTRY

Newbury Park grabs fourth

At Staub-Barnes Invitational, Saturday, 3 miles

Highlights: Newbury Park — Steve Bradley was 10th in 16:55 as the Panthers finished fourth in their race. Sean Grumney (17:18) was 19th. Camarillo — Heyden Wooff was ninth at 16:51 to lead Camarillo to second place. Moorpark — Christopher Coleman was third in 16:14.

MEN'S WATER POLO

Pacific 19, Cal Lutheran 7

Cal Baptist 12, Cal Lutheran 8

At Air Force Academy

Highlights: Cal Lutheran — All-tournament selection Matt Heagy had three goals in games against Pacific and Cal Baptist. On Saturday, Heagy had five goals in 12-8 loss to Cal Baptist, while Heagy and Jeff Chaney had four and two goals, respectively, in 16-8 loss to Air Force.

Cal Lutheran 1, Occidental 0

At Occidental, Saturday

Highlights: Cal Lutheran — Greg Young scored the game's only goal. Chris Thompson had one save.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL

Cal Lutheran 3, Redlands 2

At Redlands, Saturday

Game scores: 28-30, 30-19, 30-27, 30-32, 15-11.

Highlights: Cal Lutheran — There were 23 lead changes and 52 tied scores. Summer Plante-Newman had 26 kills and 31 digs. Jenna Meligan and Allison Kerr had 15 and 11 kills, respectively. Redlands — Jordann Tanner had 17 kills. Dory Baga had 28 digs.
