Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. The Topic:"Using The Internet Beyond JewishGen and Steve Morse's Website"JewishGen and Steve Morse's website provide the Jewish genealogist with fantastic tools to help with their research. However, there is so much more! Ron will discuss other "best bet" websites that allow one to find may other materials online, including historical documents, newspapers and articles, living people, maps and photos, foreign language translators and aids and more.Guest Speaker: Ron Arons, a founding member of JGSCV and an accomplished nationally known speaker and published author, will provide anentertaining, humorous, yet educational discussion. Everyone receives a free genealogically-relevant gift and drawing of fantastic genealogical prizes for those who renew their JGSCV membership or join for 2008. You must be present to win! Light refreshments will be served celebrating Chanukah and our membership drive. The Jewish Genealogical Society of the Conejo Valley and Ventura County is dedicated to sharing genealogical information, techniques and research tools with anyone interested in Jewish genealogy and family history.There is no charge to attend the meeting.
