Thank guardian angels

More from OpinionThanksgiving is different at our house this year. My wife is a nurse at Community Memorial Hospital, and it is her turn to work today and Friday, 12-hour shifts. She works in the intensive care unit, caring for very sick people, so we won't be having our regular Thanksgiving.
My boys and I will try: Chris is cooking the turkey, Scott and Gavin are doing the sides and I get to cook my first-ever pumpkin pie. God save us. Usually, it is sleep in, watch football (Go Trojans!), eat and nap, but not this year.
There are many others like us who will be having a different Thanksgiving. Firefighters, doctors, nurses, peace officers and military personnel will not be able to be with their loved ones today.
We all should give thanks to those who serve us on Thanksgiving. They are our guardian angels. Thank you, Sherry, and everyone else.
