County naval troops to be featured on Fox Thanksgiving Day pregame

More from NFLFox's Thanksgiving Day NFL pregame show will feature military personnel from Naval Base Ventura County as well as four other Southern California military installations, the network said Tuesday.
Joining Fox's Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long and Jimmy Johnson will also be troops from the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Edwards Air Force Base and Miramar Marine Corps Air Station.
The troops are to be featured throughout the one-hour show, which starts at 8:30 a.m., with several participating in a football demonstration on the studio's "Fox Field" and asking questions during the show's "Rapid Fire" segment.
"Amid the tradition of Thanksgiving Day football, it's our hope to showcase the dedication of these young men and women in uniform, who defend our freedom and way of life," Fox Sports chairman David Hill said in a statement. "Hopefully, they'll enjoy spending the day with us and they'll realize how much we appreciate their sacrifice."
