Santa Paula man arrested after gun found in truck

A 22-year-old Santa Paula man, whom police identified as a known gang associate, was arrested Saturday night after a loaded gun was found in the truck he was driving, authorities said.
Oscar Elizarraraz was being held Sunday in Ventura County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail. He was booked on suspicion of having a concealed firearm in a vehicle and carrying a loaded firearm.
Santa Paula Police Officer Matt Alonzo and Senior Officer Ryan Smith were on patrol in the area of Santa Paula and 12th streets Saturday when they saw a black pickup truck run a stop sign around 7:20 p.m.
The officers tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver did not immediately stop. Instead he drove to a nearby home, according to a statement released by the Santa Paula Police Department.
Officers could see the driver reaching around in the cab of the truck. Elizarraraz, the sole occupant of the vehicle, attempted to get out of the truck when it came to a stop, police said.
Officers discovered a loaded 38-caliber handgun under the driver's seat, according to the statement.

"santapaulax2st" Does your i.d. stand for Santa Paula 12th St. As in a known gang identifier for santa paula gangs. So let me get this straight, a ganster on line defending his "gansta" buddy who got caught with a gun. Atleast sign on with a i.d. like "preppynerd" and try to disguise your gang affiliation. Son, I am an old man who has been around SP for along time. I know what all your spx2 crap means. Don't be mad cause the cops are cleaning up the town. You wanna gang bang and be "cool", then expect your days to be numbered.

If your pulled over, Stop,keep your hands on the wheel and DO NOT get out of your vehicle !!! This puts you and the Officer in a bad situation.
And when transporting your gun,unload it !!! Had to throw that in!!!!!!LOL
