Early Christmas Cantata at St Matthews

Saint Matthews United Methodist Church will be presenting a Christmas Cantata: "Emmanuel-God with Us!" The day is Sunday, December 2, 2007. The times are 8:30am and 10:00am. The program will include our children's Cherub Choir and Rainbow Ringers anda liturgical dance group, The Dancing Angels. We will have two adult bell choirs, The Spirit Ringers and The Joybell Ringers. The Sanctuary Choir will be accompanied by Betty Nicholson on the piano and a small orchestra group. The music was arranged and composed by Lloyd Larson and will be directed by Holly-Anne Halweg.

The Dancing Angels(see attached photos)will be giving a delightful interpretive performance to some of the music. They have been working hard to prepare ever since their last performance on September 9, 2007. These wonderful children are being directed by Mrs. Juliane Detweiler.

The bells being used by the bell choirs were just dedicated September 16, 2007 in memory of Mrs. Joanne Stone's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George and Pauline Ehlers. (see attachedphoto)

Join us for this great beginning for this Christmas Season. It will bring warmth to your heart, a smile to your face and a good musical message to your ears. A freewill offering will be received from those who wish to contribute. We are located at 1360 SouthWendy Drive, Newbury Park, CA 91320. For more information please call (805) 498-6910.
