Highlights: Ventura — The Pirates lost on a 3-pointer at the buzzer by Long Beach's Tyler Mitchell. Angelo Whitehead led Ventura with 17 points. Brandon Dickson fell just short of a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. Kevin Menner added 12 points and five assists. Ventura will play in the third-place game of the tournament today.
Records: Ventura 3-2, Long Beach 3-2.
MOORPARK 79, EAST L.A. 71
At East L.A.
Highlights: Moorpark — Kyle Elliot scored 13 points and had nine rebounds. Ian Walberg scored 12 points. Dwight Jones had 11 points and five assists.

At Vaquero Shootout
Highlights: Ventura — Indira Caljo led the Pirates with 18 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Jenelle Conklin also scored 18 points on 7-for-9 shooting. Ventura will face Fullerton in the semifinals today at 5 p.m.
Records: Ventura 2-0, L.A. Southwest 0-2.
