More from YourNewsThe Second Annual Art 4 Heart event, sponsored by the clubs of Soroptimist International of Camarillo and Oxnard will be held on the afternoon of Sunday, February 10, 2008, at the Courtyard by Marriott in Oxnard. The event will again focus on Women's Heart Health Awareness with proceeds going to the St. John's Regional Medical Center and St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital Healthcare Foundation. The funds are earmarked for education, diagnosis and treatment of women's heart disease, the number one killer of women. One in two women will die from heart disease or stroke, more than from all forms of cancer combined. Last year's Art 4 Heart event raised over $25,000 to fight heart disease in women on a local level.The 2008 Art 4 Heart afternoon will feature an art exhibit and sale, fine wines, gourmet foods, and live and silent auctions. Artists are invited to enter the juried exhibit or be a vendor and may contact Susie Hafer at 805-383-6807 for information and applications.Sponsorship opportunities are also available on five levels from Warm Hearts for $250.00 to Patron of the Hearts for $5,000.00.
