MALIBU 20, VILLANOVA 14

Highlights: Villanova led 14-10 at halftime, but Malibu managed to come back in the second half. After a Malibu field goal put it ahead 20-10 in the fourth, the Wildcats attempted to drive down the field. Malibu's victory was sealed when Villanova couldn't convert on fourth-and-four with 25 seconds left in the game. Mike Helmet rushed for 123 yards on 12 carries for Villanova. Cian Lenehan had 61 yards on seven carries. Jarrod Arbuckle was 2 for 4 with 30 yards. Cody O'Malley had 12 tackles on defense.
Records: Malibu 5-4, 2-1 Frontier League; Villanova 2-7, 0-3.

Ventura county christian 46, sKyward 6
At First Lutheran, Sylmar
Highlights: Ventura County Christian — Cheyne Eppard ran for 123 yards and four touchdowns on nine carries, threw a 53-yard TD pass to Michael Garcia and blocked a punt and recovered it for another score. Marky Naverette had a 6-yard fumble recovery for a TD.
Records: Ventura County Christian 3-4, Omega League; Skyward 2-5, 0-5.
Thacher 75, Dunn 46
At Thacher
Highlights: Thacher — Ten players combined to score 10 touchdowns as Thacher set a school record for most points in a game. Robert Dewitt scored on a 40-yard run and had two interceptions. Sean Wyatt scored on a 40-yard interception return and 13-yard run. Thacher finished second in league and qualified for the playoffs.
Records: Thacher 4-3, 2-1 Condor League; Dunn 2-5, 0-3.
COLLEGE WOMEN'S SOCCER
CAL LUTHERAN 2, OCCIDENTAL 2 (CLU WINS ON PENALTY KICKS 4-1)
At SCIAC Tournament, Occidental
Highlights: Cal Lutheran — The Regals went on the road to defeat Occidental to win the conference tournament title. The game was scoreless in the first half, but quickly saw scoring in the second half when each team traded two goals. Jordan Kirkman and Sarah Rickert scored for the Regals. After 110 minutes of regulation and overtime, the game was decided on penalty kicks. Aubrie Smith, Rickert, Brittany Clark and Jamie Johnson converted their penalty kicks.

Cal Lutheran 13, La Verne 12 (OT)
At Cal Lutheran
Highlights: Cal Lutheran — Wesley Lewis scored with two seconds remaining in overtime. Lewis finished with four goals. Matt Heagy scored seven times. Brian Doherty and Brian Condron had three goals. La Verne — Vince MaKuch scored six times.
Records: Cal Lutheran 11-14, 4-3 SCIAC; La Verne 5-15, 1-6.

Ventura 18, Citrus 10
At Western State Conference Tournament, Santa Monica
Highlights: Ventura — Grayson Yoder had three goals and three steals as Ventura placed third. Scott Siman had two goals, five assists and five steals. Andrew Nguyen and Mike Lee had two goals. Andrew Trow had 11 saves.
Record: Ventura 16-10.

Cisneros places seventh
At Southern California Championships, Mount San Antonio College, 4 miles
Highlights: Oxnard — Miguel Cisneros was seventh in 21 minutes, 14 seconds. Oxnard placed 14th as a team. Juan Romero was 44th in 22:22. Oxnard qualified for the state championships. Ventura — Brandon Johnson (22:13), David Trejo (23:16) and Daniel Berg (23:22) qualified for state. Ventura placed 16th. Moorpark — Sterling Granger (22:57) was 74th and qualified for state. Corey Farrell (23:23) was 96th.

At Southern California Championships, Mount San Antonio College, 5K
Highlights: Ventura — Rachel Hartmann (20:17) was 47th as Ventura qualified for the state championships by finishing 14th. Minnie Broccoli-Kellner (20:46) and Laura Mason (20:49) were 57th and 59th, respectively. Moorpark — Brianna Smith was third in 18:31. Rebecca Albarran was 10th in 19:10. Moorpark finished 15th. Oxnard — Vivian Rico was 107th in 22:05.

MOORPARK PLACES sevenTH
At Cuesta Tournament
Highlights: Moorpark — Octavio Lucatero placed second in the 149-pound class. Adam AhSue came out of the tournament with a third-place finish at 184. Todd Molesworth took third place at 197 as the Raiders finished seventh overall.
GIRLS' VOLLEYBALL
Oaks Christian 3, oak Park 2
At Oak Park, Thursday
Highlights: Oaks Christian — Glenna Roberts had 55 assists. Tara Ahern had 19 kills. Rachel Dennison added 26 digs. Shannon Armstrong had nine kills and 19 digs.
