Why would our political bureaucracy be somehow threatened by a challenger attempting to uncover the truth, like Monique Dollonne has? I encourage Venturans to learn what is happening in our school board leadership and why.

It is amazing how the truth can become distorted!

Allow me to ask questions to those protectors of the

Ventura Unified School District incumbents.

How exactly did you get your skewed information?

I personally witnessed the attack on Dollonne and her family while she was searching for the truth and accountability at the VUSD. Dollonne was falsely arrested for trespassing while picking up her child on Martin Luther King weekend. Because of her false arrest, the district attorney dismissed the case. Did Dollonne lose a case?

No.

Who initiated court spending and tax dollar expenditures on VUSD employees with the blessing of the board members (including the incumbents)? Not Dollonne.

What happened when Montalvo parents relied on the system procedures and requested an investigation from the California Department of Education? It took months for the response to come back. It is only when state Sen. Tom McClintock's office got involved in requesting the documents that CDE send its report — a 45-page exoneration from the CDE with witnesses' report conveniently removed.

It causes one to wonder why Dollonne was a threat to produce such an attack reaction from VUSD representatives.

Is it because she is uncovering too many inconvenient truths?

The bureaucracy surely comes together and knows how to protect each other. She has not lost a court case. In truth, her court case pursuing justice for the inappropriate attacks by the VUSD is still pending.

In addition, the public should know that out of the $15

million of expenditure reports requested by the brave parents of Montalvo School, only $150,000 was accounted for. Should we not ask ourselves, "Where are our tax dollars going?"

All these happenings occurred at the same time our school district was receiving a Program Improvement status for not meeting the federal targets. Does all this describe a thoughtful leadership, caring about our children with a strategic plan of action?

Do we want to re-elect incumbents and perpetuate aberrations or do we want to elect someone who has demonstrated courage, integrity and strength. The incumbent members seem to only be motivated by self-interest, instead the interest of our children.

Elect the voice that will stand up and ask the hard questions, Monique Dollonne!

The official school establishment is scared to death that Monique Dollonne will win the election and make them break out of their cozy "do-nothing" activity. Look at them standing on intersection corners waving signs supporting the two do-nothing incumbents and you'll see some frightened people. The education cabal in Ventura is killing the future of our kids and deserves to be kicked out. Do yourself and Ventura kids a favor and get rid of the two incumbents as well as existing board member Mary Haffner when given the chance. Haffner spent $25,000 to run for a non-paid position. What was all that about and why did she spend that much money? The Board stinks and so does public education in Ventura.

Yes! Let's eleck somebody who has the courage to stand in the way of what she believe in, even if the police hall her away. That lady has the strength to ask questions over and over and over and that's what we need on this school board somebody who can keep asking questions until the answers can be understood by someone with the best education in the whole city. And if someone answers in French or in Castillian, she will keep asking questions until she understand that too. Because she will. We are tired of bored meetings, get along, get along. It's time for a change and for exciting meetings with more questions and more questions and maybe they'll be longer meetings, but the fat cats and the pelicans will not be cozy do nothings no more. I don't have any kids and I don't live in the city of Ventura most of the time, but if I did I would stop at nothing to get halled away on Martin Luther King's birthday and ask questions over and over in the police car until I got good and clear answers and maybe we can stop for ice cream cake at Baskin Robbins.
