VCCF TO INTRODUCE "OPEN WEDNESDAYS"
VCCF introduces "Open Wednesdays" a ten city community conversation throughout Ventura County, engaging local nonprofits, donors, community leaders and elected officials around key community priorities for future grantmaking. The first scheduled dates are November 7th in Thousand Oaks and December 5th in Oxnard, with the series continuing in the New Year at each of the County's ten cities. The goal of "Open Wednesdays" is to provide an opportunity for leaders in each community in Ventura County to share with VCCF how priorities around key issues such as education, health care, development and workforce training, nonprofit capacity and stability, youth leadership, the arts, nursing, scholarships for college and the workforce, and other priorities should be reflected in VCCF programs, services and community grantmaking. VCCF is beginning to review its strategic planning goals and believes that input from each community in VCCF is a critical part of its mission.
