George Pecci of Thousand Oaks will stand trial on sexual abuse charges involving four females, including a relative, a judge decided Wednesday at the end of a preliminary hearing.

Pecci, 77, will be arraigned June 12.

Pecci was arrested Dec. 14 after an investigation. He is charged with oral copulation, three counts of sexual battery by restraint, sexual battery and committing a lewd act upon a child.

Prosecutor Rameen Minoui said in an interview that Pecci threatened two victims with deportation.

"There was a threat to one of the victims that unless she complied with his sexual demands, he would kill her," Minoui said.

The three adult victims were in their 20s and 30s, Minoui said.

Defense attorney James Farley had no comment as he left court with his client, who is free on bail.

Ventura County Sheriff's Deputy Michelle Kristol testified that one of the victims said she answered an advertisement in a flier for housecleaning in the Westlake Village area on Jan. 4, 2005. Pecci lived there, on the 2200 block of Knoll Crest Place, with his wife, Ann, who has dementia.

Shortly after the woman arrived at the home, Pecci poured wine in two glasses and offered her one, according to Kristol. She was barely sipping the wine. The woman said Pecci fondled her and when she asked to leave, he said she couldn't until she had sex with him, Kristol testified.

"She pleaded with him to stop," Kristol said.

Pecci said he told the victim that he knew she was in the country illegally, Kristol said. The victim replied, "No, I have a visa," Kristol testified.

Pecci allegedly threatened to kill the frightened victim, fondled her and forced her to perform oral sex.

Detective Michael Hartmann testified that the second woman came forward after reading a newspaper report about Pecci's arrest. Hartmann said the woman told him that she answered an ad placed by Pecci for a caregiver and claims that he fondled her on Oct. 22. Police were able to find semen stains on the woman's nightgown, Hartmann said.

The third woman, who was from Belize, answered an ad for a domestic employee, Hartmann said. On Nov. 12, the woman said Pecci began fondling her and threatened to have her deported if she didn't submit to his sexual demands, according to Hartmann.

The fourth woman is related to Pecci and claims that he fondled her from the time she was 9 years old to age 12, according to Deputy Barbara Payton. This woman is now 26 years old.

Under cross-examination, Farley questioned why it took so long for some of the victims to report the incidents. Farley noted that the second woman was in the house for two more days after the alleged fondling occurred. He questioned one of the victim's comments that she told police that she dreamed it all happened. Police also said Pecci never admitted to any wrongdoing.

In an interview, Minoui said prosecutors can still charge Pecci with lewd act upon a child because it was reported before the victim turned 28 and the alleged crime occurred when she was not yet 18.

Martin I am so sorry for what you had to go through as a child. Im glad you beat the guy too !

But why is this man in the article out on bail? To harm or rape more innocent children or women? He should have never been allowed bail !!! Sad ! What a screwed up system we have !!!!!!!!
My prayers to all his victims. For the ones who came forward after all these years also ! Lets put this man behind bars for the rest of his life !!

I was one of his last victims, probably the last. I only wish I had some kind of warning, I didn't understand alot of what was wrong in the household until after the fact. I feel for the other women, though, I wish someone would have pressed charges, not just came forward, Ann also (since I was in the household), seemed to be doing quite well, and I am certain she was aware of alot more than, she let on. I don't mean to be cruel, she just asked a lot of questions, and asked alot of questions pertaining to my sexuality, which were unwarranted. I for my own life and state of well being, will never be the same. Never, never, I have a million questions that I am certain will never be answered. I was just so concerned that the home was so close to a school, I am older than in my thirties, that is a mis type, or just an intentionally written to seem like it was a crime just against a particular age bracket. No one is excempt from this type of crime. And I suspect if a person were complacient, the preditor would not have found what he did to have the same thrill. I am sure that by not surrendering to this crime it gave him much more of what he wanted. From my personal experience.
