Champions of Mental Health to be honored at fundraiser
There is still time to order tickets for the Turning Point Foundation's first fundraiser honoring Champions of Mental Health.
The dinner and auction are planned June 16 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Harbor Boulevard in Ventura.
The evening gets under way at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are $100 each, with reserved tables for 10 available for $1,000.
Proceeds from the evening will go to the Turning Point Foundation, a community-based nonprofit organization serving Ventura County residents disabled by mental illness.
The highlight of the evening will be the recognition of champions or individuals who have worked to make a difference in the lives of adults suffering from mental illness. The honorees include Robert and Norma Lagomarsino, Michael and Donna Christine McGuire of Affinity Bank, Margot Martin, Kevin Clerici of the Ventura County Star, Hugh Ralston for the Ventura County Community Foundation and Ventura Police Chief Pat Miller on behalf of the Ventura County Crisis Intervention Team.
Sponsorship opportunities are available and additional auction items are needed.
For information or tickets, contact Jane Lax at 652-0596, ext. 31.
