Police arrest driver after brief pursuit
Oxnard police arrested a man after a brief car chase Tuesday morning. Police arrested Marco Ramirez, 30, of Oxnard, after he led them on a two-mile pursuit through Oxnard's Colonia area, said Sgt. Steve Moore.
The chase began near Cooper Road and Juanita Avenue about 12:33 a.m. when officers spotted a stolen Cadillac.
It ended after Ramirez ran from the car in an alley behind the 400 block of north Bonita Avenue, Moore said.
He was booked into the Ventura County Jail, where he was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail Tuesday afternoon.
