Sexual assault victim found on onramp

A woman who told California Highway Patrol officers she had been kidnapped and sexually assaulted was found this morning on an onramp to Highway 101 southbound at Seaward Avenue in Ventura, authorities said.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the woman was seen walking on the right side of the roadway at 4:37 a.m.

She told CHP officers that she had been kidnapped from Los Angeles, and the CHP contacted the Los Angeles Police Department, according to the agency's Web site.

The woman was transported to a local hospital, where she being treated this morning, said Det. John Gregozek of the Los Angeles Police Department.

How sad, I hope she gets the help she needs.

Ugh, gawd... I shouldn't read the news anymore... It just gets more sickening

srbrandenburg, move to North Dakota if you don't like it in Ventura.

YRMOM, maybe her attacker(s) were on their way to Northern California?

it was probably her pimp down on Crenshaw.

Why is everyone so surprised at this kind of thing? You people need to get a grip on reality and stop watching "reality TV" shows which depict nothing but a false sense of life for people.

i wonder why the red star left out the part where she didn't have any clothes. perhaps that would have made some of the people that doubt she was a crime victim reconsider their position.
this poor girl has suffered through a traumatic experience and deserves support, not criticism.

concerned_citizen, surfmedic91, do you not have anything better to do then to criticize a poor woman that has just had a life changing thing happen to her, you should be ashamed of yourself and the comments you posted on here....WHAT IF IT WAS YOUR MOTHER...OR SISTER...OR GIRLFRIEND...OR WIFE...I bet you didnt think about that...she is a hunman being and probably has a family somewhere...she didnt ask for it to happen to her...you should be ashamed of yourself...

so what did the suspect look like, and what kind of car was driven? that would be kind of nice to know.

My heart goes out to the victim. Adding to the indignity and pure horror she had already undergone, she was nude when found.

If there are any lessons to be learned from this particular case, I hope that the authorities can find a way to share without violating confidentiality guidelines.

Thank God she's alive. As horrible as this story is, it could have been a lot worse. I hope that she gets the support that she needs to get through this.

For those who take offense to the comments, my appologies. Sometimes the comments are the same for each article of a crime such as "my heart (or prayers) goes out to the victim. This should be a given for everyone. Only when there's a bit of controversy do others respond to the posts. How ironic since what sells papers and media is the negative things in our society and not the positive.

I wouldn't doubt if this isn't the only incident we hear about in the near future.

dcal805, thank you for your support. Checking the local STAR website for hometown news is one of the few things to do during downtime here.

no, flak, you didn't miss anything, the star did. the information that she was naked and wandering on the freeway was noted in the chp dispatch log last night. i think if the red star had mentioned that, there probably would have been less in the way of commnets critical towards her. fortunately, that info is no longer readily accessible to the general public, as it contained her name, date of birth and dmv index number. btw, poor girl was only, if i recall her dob correctly, about 23 y/o.

again, this is something that neither she, nor anyone else, deserves to endure.
