Free training offered for energy efficiency
In its continuing effort to increase energy efficiency in the region, the Ventura County Regional Energy Alliance has scheduled free training sessions in June.
8:30 a.m. to noon June 5 and 6, sessions on energy efficiency for water pumping, targeted at agricultural and municipal managers. The session for the municipal sector is June 5, the agricultural sector June 6.
Participants will learn how to specify and maintain an efficiency pump and how to determine how much water has been pumped. They will also learn about available rebates and services.
n 4 to 6 p.m. June 19, a session on how to improve energy efficiency at home. Participants will learn how to save as much as 25 percent on home energy costs, how to perform an energy audit and how to purchase energy-efficient home systems and appliances.
All sessions will be held at the Ventura County Energy Resource Center, 1000 S. Hill Road, Suite 230, Ventura.

The alliance is a public agency working to reduce energy demand and increase energy efficiency through clean, efficient and renewable local energy resources.
