Cornerstone Christian will travel for semifinal game

Top-seeded Cornerstone Christian School of Camarillo will travel Tuesday for the CIF-Southern Section Division VII semifinal game. Faith Baptist will host the Eagles at 3:15 p.m.

Tuesday's winner will play in the championship game on June 1 or 2 at Deanna Manning Stadium in Irvine. Hillcrest Christian of Granada Hills will host Calvary Chapel of Moreno Valley in the other semifinal game.

Camarillo graduate Brown named to WCC first team

Former Camarillo High standout Donald Brown was one of the five Pepperdine players who were named to the 2007 West Coast Conference/Rawlings All-Conference Team.

Brown, who received honorable mention All-WCC recognition as a freshman in 2005, is batting a career-high .342 and has established career-highs with 64 hits, 34 runs and three home runs. He also led the Waves with a .377 average in WCC play.
