The Hyatt Westlake Plaza will kick off the first of four concerts in the 2007 Westlake Jazz Series on June 2 with Mindi Abair performing.
The remaining three concerts are Euge Groove on July 21, Hiroshima on Aug. 18 and Peter White on Sept. 29.
Abair is a saxophonist who made her debut in 2003 with her album "It Just Happens That Way."
Groove, born Steve Eugene Grove, is a saxophonist-songwriter whose current release is "Born 2 Groove."
Hiroshima weaves the sounds of contemporary jazz with Japanese folk music. The seven-member Los Angeles band has released nine CDs including "GO," "Another Place" and "Urban World Music."
Guitarist White's ninth solo release is "Confidential."
Concerts will take place outside in the Hyatt's garden setting. Doors open at 6 p.m. and there will be grilled light fare along with gourmet cheeses, fruit and more, prepared by Executive Chef John Foerster and his staff. The concert begins at 7 p.m.
Tickets to each concert are $40; a pass for all four concerts is $140.
