Surf forecaster predicts more waves this summer
Surf forecaster Nathan Cool of Newbury Park released his predictions for this summer's surf season this week.
After much talk of Pacific Decadal Oscillation, jet stream positioning and Spanish words for baby, Cool offered this easier to understand prediction:
"It definitely tells me that I'll have more long board days out there but I'm not going to have to break up my 11-foot log."
To non-surfers, this means there should be the usual summertime-sized waves: occasional knee- to waist-high waves, but he predicts when they come they'll stick around for a few days.
For more details on the forecast, read the Ventura County Star or visit www.venturacountystar.com tomorrow.
