Thousand Oaks advances with 6-2 win

More from BaseballChris Hannick hit a solo home run and Tim Hocutt and Jeff Johnson both had RBI doubles to help Thousand Oaks High baseball team beat Martin Luther King 6-2 in a CIF-Southern Section Division I second-round game at Riverside on Tuesday.
The Lancers (25-4-1) will face Esperanza on Friday.
Division II
Rio Mesa 9, Upland 7: Joe Ramirez went 2 for 4 with four RBIs and two runs scored, Sean Barber went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and Chase Crawford scored two runs for visiting Rio Mesa (15-10) in the second-round win.
Rio Mesa will play Friday against Crescenta Valley.
Division IV
Santa Monica 5, St. Bonaventure 2: Jeremy Dann went 2 for 3 and Steve Trejo had a hit, walk and RBI in the second-round roadloss. The Seraphs finished the season 22-6-1.
Oaks Christian 13, Sonora 12: Tadd Ekstrand drove in the winning run with a two-out single in the bottom of the seventh for the visiting Lions.
Chris Potter went 3 for 3 with a double and a two-run home run with five RBIs. Kyle Leonard was also perfect, going 4 for 4.
Tommy Grillo was 2 for 4 with a double. Oaks Christian, which improved to 13-12, will play Charter Oak in Covina the third round on Friday.
