SIMI VALLEY BOYS ENJOY SUCCESS
Highlights: Simi Valley The Simi Valley AYSO Region 121 under-10 All-Stars took fourth place in the Santa Barbara Spring Cup for club teams and finished fourth. In the Simi Valley Spring Cup, the boys finished second, losing to a Silver Division team. Simi Valley placed third in last month's Santa Clarita Showdown AYSO tournament. The players are Noah Andrews, Nick Austin, Alex Birch, Erik English, Leonel Gonzales, Henry Hong, Matt McKay, Andrew Spilman and Tejas Sririm. Substitute players are Rola Adedigba and Enzo Hernandez. Loraine Austin is the coach.
CHIVAS EARN CHAMPIONSHIP
Chivas Simi Valley Invitational Cup
Highlights: Chivas The under-13 boys' team won the championship at Arroyo Vista Park in Moorpark. The Chivas defeated the C D Chivas 2-1 for the championship. The Chivas earned a position in the finals by defeating the La Verne Lazers 8-1, PCSC B93 4-1 and Pirates 2-1. Team members are Edik Aragon, Kevin De La Riva, Rudy De Leon, Marcelo Duffau, Sergio Guzman, Adam Henderson, Angel Hernandez, Kevin McAlpin, Ronald Morales, Gustavo Navarro, Jorge Negrete, Eduardo Lomelli, Oren Robles, Travis Rosson and Paco Soto. REAL CALIFORNIA ADVANCES
Spring Cup Tournament
Highlights: Real California The under-13 boys advanced to the semifinals. In pool play, they had a 2-1 loss to FC Long Beach Avengers. Oscar Fletcher scored Real's only goal. Corona United SC forfeited their game to Real, leaving the Real team in first place in their pool with a 3-1 record. Real California will play the wild-card team Los Gauchos this weekend in San Bernardino. Led by Coach Chris McGinty, the team includes Luis Reyna, Guillermo Che, Edwin Elizarraraz, Joe Spota, Alonso Salinas, Marc Kirby, Kyle Key, Tyler Klauza, Oscar Fletcher, Tanner MacDonald, Jared Borowitz, Matthew Scipione, Connor Reed, Matthew Troske, Kieran Giammichele and Christian Giammichele.

BRAVES WIN
El Rio Little League Major Division
Highlights: Braves The Braves (13-2) defeated the Angels 9-5 behind a 15-hit attack. Justin Miranda had three hits, including a homer. Vinny Avila, Eris Rodriquez and Matt Espinoza each had two hits. Johnny Bautista, Alea Arroyo, Dustin Sampang, Javier Ortiz and Sergio Rodriquez each had hits. Vinny, Sergio and Justin shared pitching duties. They combined on a six-hitter. The Braves collected 18 hits on a 16-4 over the Athletics. Angels Chris Lopez had two hits. Eric Ramirez and Kyle Henchel each had hits. Athletics Tony Hernandez had two hits, including a homer. Adam Cabrera and Paul Puerto each had hits.
BREAKERS WIN
Swoosh Tournament
Highlights: Breakers The seventh-grade Breakers won a pair of games in the one-day event. The Breakers had wins over the Bengals and ACB. Meghan Shank, Brinsley Farry and Brooke Nelson paced the scoring. Melia Sherk made some outside jump shots. Christina Shafer and Natalie Gibbons played well on defense. Linnea Lindberg and Marli Hernandez provided rebounding.
TRACK
Droughn to run relay
Valexsia Droughn of the Oxnard Stars has been selected to run in a youth relay at the Adidas Classic on Sunday at Carson. On Saturday, Droughn will run in the Ventura County Conference Finals at Moorpark High at 8:30 a.m.
