Lightning in a Bottle
What: Lightning in a Bottle, a three-day "green" music event that some describe as a techno Burning Man.
Entertainment: Besides 40 acts on three stages, there are meditation and tai chi classes, environmental displays, performance artists and drum circles. Oxnard band Crash Plastic plays at 12:45 p.m. today.
Tickets: Available at the event; day passes are $55, good from 8 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. They do not include camping. Tickets for the whole weekend, which includes camping, are $130. Cash only accepted, no ATMs on site.
Where: Live Oak Campground near Lake Cachuma.
Directions: Take 154 west toward Lake Cachuma. Follow it over the hill and into the valley. Turn right into the San Marcos Golf Course and make an immediate left toward Live Oak Campground. Follow the signs to the festival.
