Top bidder backs out of purchasing 'Dukes' car
If Waylon Jennings were doing a voice-over like he used to in "The Dukes of Hazzard," right now, he might be saying, "This is lower than a snake's belly in a wagon rut."
The man who last week won an eBay auction to buy the General Lee car for $9,900,500 has backed out of the deal, prompting owner John Schneider to start legal action against the bidder, Schneider's estate manager said.
"The devil's advocate in him kind of expected it," Allen Stockman said of Schneider.
Schneider, of Agoura Hills, played Bo Duke in the show. He's selling the car to finance an upcoming movie.
The bidder, listed on eBay as William Fisher of Laguna Hills, did not return an e-mail seeking comment.

Perhaps Fisher came to his senses and realized $9m is a ridicuous price for any car.
At the same time, it's not cool to back out when there are other serious/legit bidders.
Good Luck John...
