Police searching for assault suspect
An Oxnard woman fought off a man who attempted to sexually assault her Tuesday morning in the laundry room of her apartment complex, police said.
The woman was doing laundry about 7:30 a.m. in her complex on South G Street in Oxnard when the man rode up on a bicycle, pushed her and attempted to rape her, police said.
She fought back and, after a short while, the assailant left.
The woman suffered bruises and scratches, Oxnard Police Detective Sharon Giles said.
Police released a composite sketch of the man Tuesday afternoon. He is described as athletically built in his 30s, about 6 feet, 1 inch tall.
Anyone with information can call Giles at 385-7759.

White, black, hispanic, samoan...what race?
Poor lady...as if being up at 7:30 AM to do laundry in a laundry room isn't bad enough. I would never do laundry there again!
