Morning Report: Collision, hazards reported on Highway 101

Traffic: At 6:59 a.m., the California Highway Patrol was reporting a traffic collision on Highway 101 southbound just north of Central Avenue. An ambulance responded to the scene.

The CHP this morning also reported a sofa in the number two lane of Highway 101 northbound at Carmen Drive in Camarillo.

Another traffic hazard was reported near the center divider of Highway 101 southbound just north of Conejo Scales in Thousand Oaks.

Police and Fire: Last night and this morning were quiet and routine, authorities said.

Weather: Sunny conditions with temperatures in the 70s at the beaches and into the mid 90s inland are expected to prevail today after this morning's clouds and fog dissipate.
