On the market: Cleveland Golf's HiBORE Hybrid.
The scoop: According to Cleveland this hybrid features a lower and deeper center of gravity compared to other hybrids. The HiBore Hybrid's inverted crown design coupled with its unique Thin Crown Technology has allowed designers at Cleveland Golf to relocate 15 percent more discretionary weight to the rear skirt of the clubhead. This repositioning of weight to the outer rear perimeter has increased the moment of inertia significantly while making it easier for players of all levels to get the ball airborne more easily. According to the company, the HiBore Hybrid's face-centered performance has helped to create a more consistent and less penalizing club which allows mis-hits to perform nearly as well as perfect shots. The club's tour-inspired face profile has gives it a larger face area and sweet spot.
What it costs: The HiBore Hybrid carries an MSRP of $235 for graphite and $210 for the steel shafted model.
