Police report stolen property found at four teens' homes

Camarillo police have arrested four local teens on suspicion of burglarizing public schools in the area.

At least five schools were hit over the past two weeks, and Camarillo police received an anonymous tip Wednesday that a 17-year-old Camarillo boy was responsible, authorities said.

Officers arrested him Thursday at his home and learned three other Camarillo teens allegedly were involved. The three other boys, all 16, were later arrested.

Police found stolen property at each of the four homes, authorities said.

The 17-year-old was booked into Juvenile Hall. The three others were cited and released to their parents, police said.

Those parents should pat themselves on the back. I could only image what was stolen from the schools. A few computers, perhaps? Or maybe a few reams of paper? And now their child has an arrest record. Was this theivery the wrongdoing of the parent(s) or the result of the education (or lack thereof) from the same school system that the items were stolen from?

are you implying that those teens should not have been arrested?

If I were the parent of those kids, I would let each one sit in jail until trial. Teach our kids that it is not okay to steal. I have noticed that Camarillo kids have no respect for anything or anyones property. What are we teaching our kids these days? If I had done this my father would have taken a 2 inch leather belt to my backside and then told the cops to take me away. I hope these parents aren't blaming anyone else but their kids.

I know the parents of the 17 year old, my son knows him. I would say in this case it's the parents. My son always told me he felt sorry for him. This boy never had a chance. He just got out of jail a few months ago and the parents let him run wild. This is definally a case of the parents not taking the time to parent him. I think this boy needs our prayers.

This is why all parents need to set a good example for children. Be parent not friends. Kids need rules!

Sportsfan, I do agree parents do need to parent and not just be friends. This boy does need our prayers. If what you said is true.......Im taking it as the truth , its really sad he didn't have more guidance.
asportsfreak , I dont think anyone said they do not know right from wrong....... And yes we should all shed a tear ! Get down on our knee's and pray for our future generation !!!!!!!
