WRESTLING
VENTURA CLINIC: The Precision Clinic will be hosted by Ventura High on Monday and Tuesday. The first session will be from 5 to 7 p.m. and open room coaching will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Registration starts at 4 p.m. Tim Vanni, an Olympic wrestler and eight-time freestyle national champion, will be joined by Charlie Cheney, a former NCAA champion and Division I coach now one of the assistant coaches at Ventura; and Michael Gacha, clinic director and Ventura coach. Tuesday's session will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Lunch and video will be from 11 to noon. A third session will be from noon to 2 p.m. and the final session will be competition from to 4 p.m. Pre-registration fee is $75 before Saturday. Cost at the door is $100. FOOTBALL
KICKOFF CELEBRATION: The Oxnard 49ers will have a kickoff celebration today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Yolanda's Mexican Restaurant, 2801 Saviers Road, Oxnard. Practice will begin Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Channel Islands High. Information: Ruben Velasquez at 844-2929.
RHINOS REGISTRATION: The Port Hueneme Rhinos will hold registration on Friday and Monday at 5 p.m. at Hueneme High. Information: 483-8988.
NEWBURY PARK: A camp for players 7-15 will be held Saturday and July 30-Aug. 2. Fee for the camp is $50. Information: 857-9712.
