Woman charged in car insurance fraud case
A Ventura woman has been charged with three counts of auto insurance fraud, the Ventura County District Attorney's Office said Wednesday.
Angela Daily, 27, is accused of buying a GEICO policy six hours after she was involved in an accident. She filed a claim with the insurance company several weeks later, asserting that the accident occurred a day after she bought the policy, prosecutors allege.
Davis was charged Tuesday in Superior Court with one count of making a post-dated claim and two counts of giving false information in support of an insurance claim, according to the District Attorney's Office.
She pleaded not guilty to all the charges, said Deputy District Attorney Theresa Pollera.
