Westlake to get batting cages

The Westlake Village City Council voted Tuesday night to issue a permit to West Coast Sports Training for a batting cage facility at 31285 Via Colinas.

Hitting Zone Westlake will feature 5 batting cages, a pitching area and one-on-one instruction by current and former major league players, a representative of the business told the council.

The facility is expected to open some time in August.
