2 men rob pedestrian of laptop, cell phone

Thieves took a laptop computer and a cell phone from a pedestrian in Oxnard on Monday after placing a sharp object to his back and demanding his belongings, police said.

The 19-year-old man told police he was walking in the area of Hemlock Street and Ventura Road about 6:15 a.m. when two young men approached him.

One placed what he thought was a knife to his back.

The two then took his belongings. The thieves were last seen in a green Honda Accord with tinted windows going west on Hemlock Street.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Oxnard police at 982-7070.
