On July 26, 2007, Mr. & Mrs. William Marsh of Ventura will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. Jane Marion Earl of Cataraqui, Ontario, & William Harold Marsh of Kingston, Ontario, were married at a lovely ceremony at United Church in Cataraqui on July 26, 1947, after which they honeymooned at Niagara Falls.
Bill and Jane have shared a life of adventure. They purchased property at Collins Bay, Ontario, and designed and built their first house together overlooking the water. As a Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Canadian Air Force, Bill was stationed throughout Canada including Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba and Nova Scotia. In 1965 he took an early retirement and they moved their family to Santa Barbara, where together they owned and operated Mission Delivery Service, then Excello Service. Bill, a lifetime pilot, built a home built plane in their garage, a VariEze, in which the two of them flew to Canada to visit family. Upon retirement they traveled the country in an RV, and lived briefly in upstate New York and in Florida.
Proud parents of Meta and Donna, grandparents of Trisha, Tami and Lindy, and great- grandparents of Taylor, Dakota, and twins Kenya and Anika, Jane and Bill have settled in Ventura County to be near their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
