Macy's seeks full-, part-time employees

More from BusinessMacy's will host a job recruitment event for full- and part-time sales associate positions from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday.
The event will be at the Ventura Job and Career Center, 4245 Market St., Suite 201, Ventura, which is across the street from the state Department of Motor Vehicles.
Macy's has "several positions" available, but the company is also recruiting for future jobs, said Debbie Barber, communications manager for the Ventura County Human Services Agency.
The job recruitment "is a good opportunity," Barber said. "It's free and it's local, and Macy's has great benefits."
Barber said Macy's health coverage is one of the great benefits.
The Ventura County Human Services Agency and California Employment Development Department are sponsoring the event. The Human Services Agency offers no-charge employment services to the community, including services for employers and job-seekers.
For information or to RSVP, job-seekers should call 382-8610. The RSVP date is Monday,. Although responding is not necessary, Barber said Macy's would like to have an idea of how many people are planning to attend.
