Bonus Night kicks off Camarillo Fiesta today

More from CommunitiesThe Camarillo Fiesta Association is holding the Camarillo Fiesta and Street Fair beginning with its Bonus Night today from 6 to 9:30 p.m. along Ventura Boulevard in Old Town Camarillo. Today will feature reduced-price carnival rides for those 18 and under; rides will be 50 cents. For the younger set, a feature will be presented for the third year — Kids' Fun Street, where local youth-oriented nonprofit organizations sponsor game and craft booths to raise money for their causes.
The fiesta continues from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
A new feature this year is a car show. The cars will arrive Saturday, and judging will be Sunday at 5 p.m. in several classes.
This year's entertainment lineup features Rob Rio, Acadiana, Soul City Survivors and more, plus Emmy-winning Spanish guitarist Benise closing the event on Sunday.
As in previous years, there will be a raffle, with donations benefiting local youth-oriented programs. This year, there will be two drawings, with a Versace watch going to one winner and a diamond pendant to the other. Tickets will be available at the Fiesta Booth in the center of the event.
The Camarillo Fiesta and Street Fair had its origins in 1964. It was staged to honor both Adolfo Camarillo and the city.
