Morning Report: Oxnard 7-Eleven robbed

Police and Fire: A robbery was reported at an Oxnard 7-Eleven this morning, police said.

The robbery at the convenience store near the intersection of 5th Street and Ventura Road was reported about 3:30 a.m., said Sgt. Andrew Salinas.

The robber took an unknown amount of cash from the store.

No one was injured during the incident.

No further information was available early this morning.

Ventura police said a burglar was arrested at the Ventura Auto Center this morning.

A man was reported breaking into cars at the Crown Kia Dealership at 6300 King Street about 6:15 a.m., said Lt. Ray Vance.

Police responded to the scene and took the alleged burglar into custody.

Traffic: At 7:18 a.m., the California Highway Patrol was not reporting any accidents or traffic hazards on county roadways. ----------

Weather: Low clouds, fog and a drizzle of precipitation are expected this morning, the National Weather Service reported. Forecasts show mostly sunny conditions this afternoon, with high temperatures in the 70s on the coast and in the 80s inland.

Just as long as they didn't steal any Krusty-O's or Buzz Cola. I wonder if they got themselves a Squishee while they were there.
