Firefighters battling blaze at senior apartment complex
Ventura County firefighters are battling a fire at a senior apartment complex on Chestnut Court in Thousand Oaks that left one person injured, according to Fred Ponce, spokesman for the Ventura County Fire Department. Ponce had no other information on the person's injuries.
The fire apparently broke out on the third floor of the three-story Oak Knoll Villas about 4:30 p.m., according to the fire department's Web site. Eighteen units and at least two ambulances were called to the scene.
