Victim says man crashed into his car

An Oxnard man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon Monday after a co-worker claimed that the man had crashed into his car on purpose, the Ventura County Sheriff's Department reported.

Javier Morales, 22, was booked into Ventura County Jail. His bail was set at $20,000, and he is scheduled to be in court Wednesday.

The victim, who police did not identify, told police that he was sitting in his car with a woman Sunday when Morales drove by before making a U-turn and crashing into the driver's side of the car, officials said in a statement.

Authorities said Morales reversed and hit the car again before the two victims got out and ran away. They were not injured.

Morales was arrested about 10:30 a.m. Monday at work in El Rio.

The vehicle used in the crash was found in a field near Camarillo.

You have to be a complete dolt to do something like that and think you can get away with it. Oh wait. You kinda can. I forgot, this is California, where the victims have no rights and the perp will probably walk away with a little smack on the hand... Jeesh

Machismo at work. Evolution gone awry. Morales, whose full name is Javier Garcia Morales, born 11/12/1984, has the following in his record at Ventura County Superior Court under the last name of Garcia:

12500(a) VC I Unlicensed Driver N $ 75.00
16028(a) VC I Failure to Provide a Peace Officer Evidence of Financial Responsibility N $ 200.00

Does this surprise anybody? Will the politicians and judges let us take charge as we should? NO! They will continue to harp on the supposedly bad conditions in our prisons and focus on prisoner rights over the rights of law abiding citizens to live their lives in peace.

I agree with JohnGC that it will get worse.

JohnGC--what a racist remark! Hmmmm, remind me what nationality was involved in the recent murder in Camarillo?! Yeah, we might become a third world country, but it won't be because of the population shift. It'll be because we are spending $12B a month on the dead-end war in Iraq, instead of helping the poor and middle class in our own backyard.

Unrelated story: If anyone witnessed a blue Mustang being attacked by two 20 something men with baseball bats on Victoria and Fifth Street (van was turning left on Fifth from Victoria - driven by a mother approximately 40- something years of age) in Oxnard - July 11 at approx. 1:15pm, please contact the Oxnard Police Department. We appreciate any help you can lend. My husband is mending, but is doing okay. Thank you

Lalkobe805- I will pray that someone steps forward that may have seen this happen. I am glad your spouse is recupperating and hopefully he will have a full recovery. You would think at that time of day someone had to see something.
If no one steps forward BLAME it on the DA's office. When ever something like this happens and a police report is made , they think its ok to put the witness's address in the paperwork. In return you have the fear of retaliation...... I say we all speak up against this action. Keep the address's private like they should be !!!!!
