Bryans reach doubles final for third consecutive year

WIMBLEDON, England — The Grand Slam events continue to bring out the best in Mike and Bob Bryan.
The 29-year-old twins from Camarillo defeated Fabrice Santoro of France and Nenad Zimonjic of the Czech Republic 7-6 (4), 6-4, 7-6 (6) in a semifinal match on Saturday to reach the men's doubles final at Wimbledon for the third consecutive year.
The semifinal was a rematch of last year's final, which the Bryans beat Santoro and Zimonjic in four sets to win their first Wimbledon doubles title.
The Bryans will play Arnaud Clement and Michael Llodra of France in today's final. Clement and Llodra defeated Marcelo Melo and Andre Sa of Brazil 7-6 (8), 6-3, 6-3 in their semifinal.
The semifinal victory was the Bryans' 11th straight at Wimbledon. They served 10 aces and won 73 percent of the points when putting their first serve in play.
Santoro and Zimonjic hit more winners than the Byans (59-45), but the Bryans were successful on both their break-point opportunities.
