Heck - 50th Anniversary
Russell & Wanda Heck were married on June 1, 1957, one week after Russ graduated from college. June 1, 2007, marked their golden wedding anniversary. They have been blessed with three wonderful daughters, their spouses, and four terrific grandchildren.
On June 9th, their daughters and their families gave Russ and Wanda a delightful garden party to celebrate their anniversary. The party was held at the home of their daughter and her husband, Karen and Richard Bokstrom of Simi Valley. Co-hosting were daughters Lynell Heck, Sheryl and her husband, Tim Baltz of La Grange Park, Ill.; and grandchildren, Meredith and Adam Baltz and Jaquelyn and Jonathan Bokstrom. The fellowship, food and the weather were perfect!
Highlights of the party included a DVD of their lives, and two albums, presented by their children, and another DVD and a reading presented by Wanda's sister. Family members who traveled long distances to attend were: The Baltz Family; Wanda's sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Scott Van Devender; her brother, Rev. Tim Whitehead; her nephew and his wife, Matt and Jesse Whitehead; and Russ' brother and sister-in-law, Dick and Eva Heck. Guests came from Wash., Ark., Ill., Mich., N.J., and Canada.
Russ and Wanda are both semi-retired. After retiring from more than thirty years in the investment Securities Business, Russ runs a small hedge fund from his home-office. The couple resides in Agoura Hills and enjoys their children, grandchildren, traveling, gardening, and church work.
