Area Housing Authority offers free class on owning home

More from Homes StoriesThe Area Housing Authority of the County of Ventura has expanded its schedule of free classes on the advantages of home ownership throughout the summer.
The classes are educational only with no sales involved.
The free seminar addresses the following topics: Tax Advantages of Home Ownership; Programs Available for Financing for a First-Time Buyer; Raising and Maintaining a High FICO Score. Classes will be offered on the following Tuesdays from 6 to 7 p.m.:
English, July 10, in Simi Valley; English, July 17 in Camarillo; Spanish and English, Aug. 7, Fillmore and English, Aug. 14, Thousand Oaks.
The Area Housing Authority serves Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks and the unincorporated areas of Ventura County.
