Moorpark man is arrested after car hits tree

More from County NewsA 49-year-old Moorpark man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after the car he was driving hit a tree, injuring his passenger, Karisa Hansen, 32, of Moorpark.
Richard Zuniga was taken into custody and Hansen was taken to Simi Valley Hospital around 4 p.m. Sunday after the car Zuniga was driving drifted right as he was traveling southbound on Gabbert Road in Moorpark. Zuniga's car ran off the roadway and into a tree, flipping over onto its roof. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
Hansen's condition was unavailable Sunday evening.
Traffic headed southbound on Gabbert at Poindexter Avenue was stopped for about two and a half hours.
