Ventura Pirates win Santa Barbara Tournament

12/16/2007 Sunday, December 16, 2007 The Ventura Pirates 12U Baseball team captured the first place trophy at the Santa Barbara Breakers Holiday Baseball Bash this weekend at Ellings Field in Santa Barbara. The Ventura Pirates beat Dos Pueblos' South Coast Sluggers for the championship in a 6-5 game. The Pirates are back to back tournament winners, getting first place in the Turkey Tournament in November. The Pirates are Tito Cortez, Jackson Tovar, Anthony Nevarez, Nik Schimmel, Carlo Diaz, Eddie Hamilton, RJ Arias, Steven Lopez, Luis Landeros, Eric Ramirez and Tony Hernandez. Pirate Manager is Carlo Diaz, and the coaches are Robert Cortez, Rick Hamilton and Tony Nevarez.
