THOUSAND OAKS
Junior high teens invited to New Year's Eve festivities
The Thousand Oaks Teen Center will hold a New Year's Eve party at 8 p.m. Monday at 1375 E. Janss Road.
Attendance will be limited to 500 teens. This program is designed for teens in the seventh and eighth grades. School IDs will be required, and dress code will be strictly enforced.
DJ SLiK will provide musical entertainment. Features of the evening will include a light and laser show, live band, raffles, free pizza and an open soda bar.
All teens will be given party hats, confetti and noise makers. The event will include a countdown and balloon drop, and live coverage of festivities throughout the country on video screens. Group or couple photographs will be available.
Festivities will conclude at 12:15 a.m.
Cost is $10 at the door. For more information, call 494-5156 after 2 p.m.
AGOURA HILLS
Three ski resort trips plus lessons offered to students
The Agoura Hills Recreation Center will take students ages 10-15 to Mountain High Ski Resort. There will be three dates offered: Jan. 21, Feb. 18 and March 21. Trips will depart from the center at 6 a.m. and return at 7 p.m.
The costs range from $52 to $70. Ski and snowboarding lessons will be available for an additional $30. Supervision and transportation will be provided.
