Morning Report: Sunny, windy weather expected

More from Other NewsWeather: Sunny and windy weather is expected today and through the weekend, the National Weather Service reported.
A high wind warning is in effect through 10 a.m. for local mountains, where gusts are expected to reach 60 miles per hour. The weather service advised motorists that high winds could make driving difficult, especially for travelers on the Highway 5 corridor.
In lower regions of the county, weather service forecasts show sunny conditions with high temperatures in the 50s and winds up to 25 miles per hour.

Traffic: At 6:57 a.m., the California Highway patrol was reporting traffic collisions on Highway 118 eastbound at Kuehner Drive in Simi Valley and on Highway 101 southbound at the Conejo Grade in Thousand Oaks.
No details were immediately available about the crash on Highway 118. No injuries were reported in the crash on Highway 101.
Minor injuries were reported early this morning after a car crashed into a power pole on Highway 1 just north of Deer Creek Road south of Point Mugu, the CHP reported.
Power lines were reported in one lane of the roadway after the accident, which was reported at 4:43 a.m.
Southern California Edison was called to the scene.
