Teen dies in crash on Highway 33

An 18-year-old woman was killed in a head-on collision involving at least three vehicles in Oak View this afternoon, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatcher.

The woman was a passenger in a black BMW. The collision occurred about 2:50 p.m. along Highway 33 at Willey Street.

The driver of one of the vehicles works as an engineer for the Ventura County Public Works Department, said Capt. Barry Parker, spokesman for the Ventura County Fire Department.

Highway 33 was closed after the collision.

There was no information on the woman's name or the condition of the others involved in the accident.
