Quilt for Caring
As part of its expansion and reorganization to better serve our community, the American Red Cross of Ventura County will embark on a new adventure in summer of 2008. One of the goals of the new “hub,” located in the expanded Camarillo facilities, will be to ensure that we recognize our generous neighbors who have partnered with us over the past 90 years.
The Quilt of Caring will be a large, multi colored quilt containing squares that will feature the names of donors, or in memory of a family member or friend who benefited from, or supported, the Red Cross in their past.
Starting at $100 for the perimeter squares, $250 for the interior squares, and up to $1,000 for the five red squares that make up the Red Cross in the center, this symbol of service and support will be prominently displayed in the lobby of the new building, with a description of its history.
For more information in purchasing a square in the “Quilt for Caring,” please call Karen Eckhardt at 805-987-1514 x315.
