More from VenturaThe McElrea Heights Neighborhood Holiday Party at the home of Alan & Diane Gordon with Patti & Gary Channer as co-hosts was another jolly
event. This year the organizers chose to honor Hospice and in lieu of
gifts neighbors were requested to bring a donation to the gathering.
The magic of the night happened when the donations were tallied and a whopping $1300 was collected & presented the next morning to Maddy Hazzard of LMVNA/Hospice of Ventura who in 2008 celebrate their 60th Anniversary honoring Dr. Charles M. Hair for his enduring devotion to the organization.This was the first year that the McElrea Heights
Neighbors earmarked their annual gathering for a charity perhaps
the start of a tradition in our community, certainly on our hillside!
